This year, the theme is Global Justice with a particular focus on the plight of families living in Somalia, Guatemala and Palestine.
As you are aware, the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria have had a devastating effect on the lives of those living there. We have past and current pupils whose families are from Syria and Turkey, and we want to particularly support them. Half of whatever money we collect, will go towards helping the people of Turkey and Syria.
There will be some events happening over the next few weeks, starting with a non-uniform day on Wednesday 15th March. We are asking pupils to bring in £2.00.
Each Year Group will also organise activities or an event to help raise money.
The highlight of our Trócaire Campaign is always the Rathmore’s Got Talent Show. There is so much talent among our pupils and staff and we are hoping that as many people as possible will volunteer to take part. Auditions will take place on Tuesday 28th February and Wednesday 1st March after school. Staff offering to share their talents will be welcomed with open arms and your enthusiasm and bravery alone will get you past the audition requirement- this could be your big moment!!
