Netball Success

On Tuesday 9th April three teams competed in the NI Netball Schools League Finals, our Juniors, Inters and Seniors.

Juniors came out on top against Our Lady and St Pats Knock with a scoreline of 23-19, which makes them both NI Shield and League winners! Well Done girls!

Our Inters narrowly missed out by 2 goals against a strong Aquinas team finishing up 30-28.

Our Seniors played Sacred Heart from Newry who are unbeaten all year, at half time the score line was 16-16 and with 2 minutes to go it was 28-29. Despite some great play and some top tips from past pupil and NI/Mavericks Netballer Michelle Drayne, the ball broke in favour of Sacred Heart in the dying seconds of the game and it finished 30-28 to Sacred Heart.

All matches were end to end and the girls were a credit to school and Laura their coach, they fought hard right to the very end. Well done to the other teams in the finals OLSPK, Aquinas and Sacred Heart, it was a great display of Netball. The teams have competed in 6 finals in 2 weeks and won 4 out of the 6, this is a fantastic achievement and we are all super proud. Well Done!
