Rathmore are delighted to have successfully secured a 2-1 victory against Belfast High School. The Concern debate took place on Thursday 8th November with Rathmore proposing the motion ‘Thirty years on, the world is no closer to ending the global HIV and AIDS epidemic.’ The team included Charlie Kelly (Captain), Matthew McAteer (second speaker), Flynn Ryan (third speaker) and Matthew Colquhoun (fourth speaker). Rathmore will participate within two more Concern debates this month. The team will be participating in a debate against St. Louis Grammar School, Kilkeel on Thursday 22nd November with Rathmore opposing the motion “Nike should be applauded for standing with Colin Kaepernick”. This debate will take place in St. Louis. They will also debate Friends School, Lisburn on Monday 26th November with Rathmore proposing the motion, “The global population ‘time bomb’ is being diffused”.
