Restart a Heart Awareness Campaign

Rathmore have launched their CPR awareness campaign today – “Without CPR the chances of surviving cardiac arrest are zero. When the stakes are this high, don't think twice, just try”.


Year 13 Biology students will raise awareness of the importance of CPR through presentations in Assemblies for Year 8 up to 14. By June 2019, Mr Graham and the Biology department hope to train up to 1300 students and staff on how to effectively carry out CPR.


The students will be taught in the following formats:


Year 8 – Tutor groups

Year 9 – Tutor groups

Year 10 – Biology Curriculum

Year 11 – Tutor groups

Year 12 – Biology Curriculum

Year 13 – Biology Curriculum/ Tutor groups

Year 14 – Biology Curriculum/ Tutor groups
