Ulster Orchestra Visit

Rathmore A Level Musicians visited the Ulster Hall on Thursday 23 February to watch a rehearsal of one of CCEA’s new AS set works, the Brahms Violin Concerto. The conductor and manager of the Ulster Orchestra kindly allowed our students to ‘sit in’ for 2 hours and watch them play and rehearse this great work with Viviane Hagner, the violin soloist.
To analyse and read the score of this music with a live orchestra and soloist is something our students will not forget – what an experience! A level and GCSE musicians are also going to see the concert on Friday 24 February, which includes Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony.
