Ten years ago, the late Pope Francis wrote Laudato Si’, setting out a bold vision for our common home. During this week, Christians are asked to reflect on his strong ecological message and our duty to take action. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Laudato Sí, St Brigid’s Care for Our Common Home group invited our pupils to share with parishioners some insight into the work ongoing in school around the topic of Creation. James McKernan, Thea-Ellis Thornbury and Eve Trimble spoke to parishioners on Thursday 29th May about the impact of Laudato Sí on the younger generation and their hopes for the future.
“Let us sing as we go. May our struggles and our concern for this planet never take away the joy of our hope.”
(Laudato Si’ 244)
