German

Key Stage Three

At KS3 we aim to make the learning of German enjoyable and accessible to all pupils.

We endeavour to inspire our pupils with the confidence to express their ideas and thoughts in German and to equip them with the skills to understand and respond to its speakers orally and in writing.

We are committed to the delivery of an engaging programme of study that challenges and enables our pupils to work to the best of their ability.

We place great value on developing in our pupils an appreciation of the rich culture of Germany and do this in a variety of ways:

Activities in class

Visits to class by the German Language Assistant

Year 8 German Club

Opportunity to participate in a German course at a language/outdoor pursuit school in Bundoran

A school trip to Ulmen Germany every three years
