Our Year 14 students were recently trained in how to perform CPR. It was an educational and informative morning. Many thanks to Mr Graham for organising and leading the training, this really is a vital skill!
Well done to our Year 8 Girls Basketball team who won The Year 8 Basketball Blitz against St Genevieve's, OLSPK and St Dominic's. They played OLSPK in the final. Warm congratulations to Catherine Fleming who won MVP (most valued player) of the tournament!
Our Year 13 and 14 German pupils were treated to a screening of the popular German language film, Goodbye Lenin, at the Queen’s Film Theatre. The film, which explored life after the fall of the Berlin Wall, was introduced by Dr Gillian Pye of University College Dublin. All our pupils greatly enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to the next German film event!
On Thursday 20th December we celebrated our pupil's achievements in their recent GCSE and A-Level examinations during Speech Day. It was lovely to see our students who left in the summer and hear all about their experiences at university and work. Our guest speaker was the inspirational Colin Davidson, a local artist who has followed a very interesting career path which has culminated in him painting portraits of the likes of Brad Pitt, Angela Merkel, Ed Sheeran and Bill Clin
The Titanic Quarter, in all its grandeur and splendour, was a fitting venue to celebrate those who achieved top in Northern Ireland in CCEA at GCSE and ‘A’ level. Charlie Kelly, Lower Sixth, was awarded a trophy for securing joint first in Further Mathematics and was also given the John Megaud memorial prize for excellence in Mathematics.
