On 15-16 March, twenty Music students from Years 11-14 hopped across the pond and enjoyed two action-packed days of outings and sightseeing in London. On Thursday 9th March, over 200 instrumentalists, singers and dancers took to the Assembly Hall stage for our annual Spring Concert. Students across the full age range presented a varied and exciting programme of music (below) to a packed audience. Every ensemble in the School performed at least one number and the Senior Choir presented five movements from Fauré's Requiem. The Student Council have launched a new initiative which aims to help recycle spare items of the school uniform that they might have at home. The initiative was presented and explained to each tutor group by their elected representative and we hope the initiative will be a great success.
Our Senior Strings group have won their class in Ballymena Music Festival! Performing Vivaldi’s Storms from the Four Seasons and Strauss’ Pizzicato Polka, they overcame stiff competition from Belfast Royal Academy and Ballymena Academy.
