Geography Department
Welcome to Rathmore Geography Department. The department aims to deliver “quality geography” to help young people become independent learners and to enable them to connect their learning to their prior knowledge, their learning in other disciplines and their lives outside school. It challenges them to develop the skills to understand their world as there is a growing awareness of global issues and environmental problems through increased travel and the communications revolution. At all levels important 21st century concepts are integrated into lessons – these include equity and justice, climate change, globalisation, interdependence, citizenship and sustainable development.
